Doc & Docx Editor Lite is a simple one-screen app for opening a Word file, making edits, and saving the result as a .docx.
Step-by-Step Tutorial
- Open the app.

If a tutorial prompt appears:
- Tap OK or Yes to open the online help page.
- Tap Skip to continue without opening the tutorial.
- On later launches, you can select Don't show this again.

Open your document.
- Tap Open document in the center of the screen, or
- Tap the Open icon in the top bar.

Select a file using Android's file picker.
Supported formats are
.docand.docx. - Wait for the file to load in the editor. Once loaded, the editing toolbar will appear.

Edit the document.
- Tap inside the document and type or modify text.
- Use the toolbar for formatting:
- Bold
- Italic
- Underline
- Strikethrough
- Increase or decrease font size
- Change font style
- Use table tools to:
- Insert a table
- Insert a row below
- Insert a column to the right
- Delete a row, column, or table

Save your work.
- Tap the Save as DOCX icon in the top bar.
- Choose the save location and file name.
- Confirm the save. The app will show a message saying Saved as .docx when successful.
Other Ways to Open Files
You can also open a Word file into the app from another Android app by using Open with or Share.
Help and About
- Help: Opens the online tutorial/help page.
- About: Shows app information, privacy policy, terms of use, and help links.
Important Notes
- The app only supports
.docand.docxfiles. - Saving always creates a
.docxfile, even if the original file was.doc. - If a file cannot be read or is unsupported, the app will show an error message.
- Table row and column actions work best when the cursor is inside a table cell.
